Personal Repository

Welcome to my personal repository, where I document pivotal moments that have shaped who I am today. Each event has contributed to my path, fostering resilience, creativity, and a deeper understanding of myself and the world around me.

Updating regularly!

  • 👰🤵 We got married with only close families around!

  • Started building a new side project - Carpe Diem, seize the day. The goal is to encourage people to try more new things and take care of one's happiness.

  • This month, I finished my online courses in data science. It's exciting to code again after so many years. During my startup, I wrote several Python scripts to automate our community activities reporting and analyze our website metrics. This inspired me to dive deeper into what else can be done with data.

  • I did a 5-day silent retreat to refocus my life purpose. During the retreat, I started reading a Buddhist book and it completely refreshed my mind about everything.

  • Happiest day of my life! Letting go my company meant more mental space and energy for my personal life. I'm grateful of having the support and love from my partner.

  • The new direction was slowly picking up but mentally I came to the burnout end. A goodbye is the start of a new beginning.

  • We had challenges growing the business for the past 12 months. Just when I decided to shut it down, I got two great news: a new cofounder and a new business opportunity with our existing resources.

  • This is the 4th country I lived in within the past 10 years. I follow where life takes me.

  • I spent the whole month working in Bali, seeking peace of mind and a way to destress from work. I started meditation, journaling, and reflecting on my relationship with the people around me.

  • I was in isolated lockdown for 14 days. It gave me a chance to re-reflect on my life and personal goals.

  • I didn't expect to raise funds after getting numerous rejections. And on Christmas Day morning, I signed my first term sheet. Best Christmas gift ever!

  • I officially announced the launch of Ferne Health. Stepping out of my comfort zone to be in the public eye wasn't easy, but I managed it.

  • I landed in Singapore on January 31st. Everything was foreign and exciting.

  • I made up my mind to start my own business in the following new year. I spent months doing research and reaching out to people prior to this day, and I knew the only way to stop the itch was to actually take the leap.

  • After about half year's planning and hardworking, I finally made my transition from a designer to a product manager. I signed up a General Assembly Product Management course in December and pitched myself to the Product team. Eventually the transition worked!

  • I became a homeowner in November, and it really hit differently. It's like I was going through a transition from college kids to real adulthood.

  • Got a new job at Amazon working in the Alexa team. More hardware!

  • I had this interest in starting a holistic baby's products store. Did my research and drafted a business plan. I ended up giving it up after a few months of researching given how far away my personal life is from the targeted customer segmentation.

  • It's a cliché gesture to cut one's hair and have a fresh start to a new life. In my case, it's an important farewell to the past, and reclaim of my own power over life.

  • Every designer loved Photoshop at some point of their life. Now I'm part of the team!

  • Ooop I got an internship at fuseproject! I love working on hardware (was thinking to become an industrial designer) and software (I'm an UX designer now). This company was dream!

  • One of the smartest kids from my high school year went to Carnegie Mellon with a scholarship. Since then, CMU had become my dream school, and I wanted to be like him. This year I made it!

  • Graduated with a degree in Game Design & Development. In the past 4 years, I built several PC and mobile games (I hate Java forever), and my capstone project was a wellness game encouraging people to move around.

One of the saddest things I experienced during college was the retirement of Adobe Flash & Action Script. HTML is the new world, but AS was the most accessible and interactive coding language I learned in college.

  • College life was exciting and scary at the same time.

  • In the science and crafting class, I created a stable trash can with similar mechanism of a roly-poly toy, my favorite as a kid. My teacher encouraged me to file for a patent and helped me with the process. It was approved a year later with a patent number CN201381076. The patent later expired after I stopped renewing the file.

  • Middle school life was really fun for me. I spent most of my childhood reading at home, but now I spend most of my time running around with friends. Through sports I discovered my strength of resilience and endurance.

  • Hello!
